A Journey of Healing and Dedication…

Our Medical Director, Dr. Ines M. Alfaro’s journey, is a testament to the power of resilience, compassion and the pursuit of Innovative Healthcare Solutions.

With a strong foundation in Conventional Medicine, Dr. Alfaro has evolved into a leading expert in Functional, Regenerative and Integrative Medicine, driven by her personal experience and a deep commitment to serving others…

Dr. Ines M. Alfaro-Mendoza graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1980. She then completed a year of social service in an indigent community, living an experience that marked her life. After completing her Social Service she performed her rotating Residency Program in Family Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital in Mexico City. In 1989, she moved back to Puerto Rico completing a year of Internship and another year of Public Service as required by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Dr. Alfaro attended the Residency Program directed by Dr. Joseph LaDou in Occupational Medicine through Berkeley University in San Francisco. She dedicated 13 years of her practice to Occupational Medicine working with International Pharmaceutical Companies in Puerto Rico, but her life totally changed when in July of 2002 she was diagnosed with metastatic cancer. Being a conventional physician, she immediately went on to surgery and chemotherapy, but results were poor and prognosis reserved. Determined to live and raise her children, she started seeking other possibilities of treatment, and it is then when she came across Integrative Medicine. She started with Acupuncture, went on to Homeopathy, then Bioregulatory  Medicine, Neural Therapy, Chelation and then pursued Board Certification in Regenerative and Metabolic Medicine as well as completed a Fellowship in Integrative Cancer Therapies.

At present Dr. Alfaro is the Medical Director for Institute For Optimum Health in Palm Bay Florida, focusing her practice on Functional and Regenerative Medicine and Integrative Cancer Therapies.

She is also a Board Examiner for A4M.
